What is RSS Feed

RSS Feeds contain frequently updated content published by a Website or Blog. They are usually used for news and blog websites.

How do I Know if a Website Offers RSS Feed?

When you first view a website, Internet Explorer will search for feeds. If feeds are available, the Feeds button will change color.

How do I View a RSS Feed?

When you visit a webpage, the Feeds button will change color, letting you know that feeds are available. Click the Feeds button, and then click the feed you want to see. To get content automatically, you should subscribe to a feed or add a RSS feed to your Blog. Add RSS Feed is a legal way to get content from other blog/website to your blog.

Add RSS Feed to your Wordpress Blog

  • Enter to admin page
  • Click “design menu” then click “widgets” (for wordpress 2.5, 2.6), click “appearance” then click “widgets” (for wordpress 2.7).
  • Click “Add” on the RSS widget and edit this widget.
  • Enter RSS Feed URL, e.g. “http://feeds2.feedburner.com/trickscollections” (this RSS Feed for this Blog)
  • Give the Feed title, e.g. “Tricks-collections.com Feed”
  • How many items would you like to display, maximal 20 items.
  • Click done then save the widget and then see the result.

Add RSS Feed to your Blogspot Blog

  • login to your blogspot blog.
  • Click layout then click “add a gadget”
  • Click “feed”
  • Input the RSS feed url then follow the instructions till finish
